Jones was the first to receive a Golden Globe nomination in 1980 for his role in the film biographical Coal Miner’s Daughter. They were married until 1996 and had two children: Austin Leonard, who was born in 1982, and Victoria Kafka, who was born in 1991. She was the daughter of Phil Hardberger, former mayor of San Antonio.
